GOLF AT THE STRAND
Welcome to The Club at the Strand. In the heart of The Strand Community lies our beautiful and challenging 27-hole Championship Golf course designed by renowned architect Gordon Lewis. The Strand opened in 1997 and features three 9-hole courses: Savannah, Sabal, and Preserve. Each course offers its own distinct challenges. The Savannah and Sabal courses played host to the LPGA Subaru of Naples Invitational from 1998-2000. World-ranked players such as Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, and Laura Davies were challenged by the course and loved the layout!
At the Strand, we value our wonderful membership. This club would not be the same without all of you. Our mission is to provide impeccable customer service while adding value to your golfing experience.
We are pleased to offer various games and formats that accommodate all levels of interests and skill levels. We have weekly league play through our SLGA (Strand Ladies Golf Association). The SLGA is a great way for the ladies to socialize and meet new friends. We also have a number of annual events that vary from fun 9 & Dines to competitive tournaments. We are always looking for ways to improve your golfing experience.
The courses offer 6 sets of tees and 3 combination tees to accommodate all levels of playability. The tipped black tees stretch out to almost 7200 yards and the forward red tees play at 4500. This allows the player to choose a length that is comfortable to their game. Some of the holes can be challenging, so don't hesitate to tee it forward!
Our Professional Staff has a combined 50 years of teaching experience. We have a wonderful game improvement plan for all players, and would love to share our expertise with you! We understand that everyone learns in a different way, and our improvement plans are personalized to the individual.
Our professional golf shop is suited with top of the line products for you to choose from. We offer brands such as FootJoy, Under Armour, and Adidas for the men; Tail, JoFit, and Jamie Sadock for the women. Our merchandise program is constantly bringing in new apparel, so stop by the pro shop and get a fresh new look for the year.
